As a breeder, you always hope your calves go to good homes where they represent the new owner and you well.
AC RC Lucy 547 found a good home with Chloe Carlisle and everyone helping her in Amarillo, TX.
They had a good run this winter and are starting the summer off well at their state preview! Congratulations on Reserve Division IV Early Spring Yearling Shorthorn Plus Female this weekend!

Wow, from then to now!
9 years since the nieces 1st preview show. No preview show today though as Piper had graduation ceremonies from Preble Shawnee High School. So proud of her as she graduates with honors & will be attending Sinclair Community college in the fall pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy!
Also Congratulations to Colton Schroeder who also graduated & will be attending St. Joseph College on scholarship to play the position of kicker for their football team.
National Shorthorn Show winners were announced this month for each region as points were accumulated from various shows.
A BIG Congratulations to Chloe Carlisle Amarillo, TX with AC RC Lucy 547 being named the Early Spring Heifer Calf Champion of the South Central Region. Lucy (DJS The Outsider x AC RC Lucy 033) was Lot 1 from our 2025 Early Bird Sale.

We would have to agree with JudgingPro.com on "The 3 M's".
Damn Proud continues to carry all of these traits and qualities within the Shorthorn Breed.

“the 3 M’s”
 The “3M’s” will always be important when selecting sires. Mass, Muscularity, Masculinity. We should want those things in the top side of our mating when creating the next generation of livestock.Look for stoutness of hip, expression and width from the blade to the hip , and power of chest and forearm. Pay attention to the spring, shape and depth of rib.Lastly- they should have a stout featured masculine appearance. This isn’t a build or structure convo- those things are essential. But once you find that running gear you have been looking for- we would like to see the 3 M’s attached to it!👍
