While most people are planning their summer vacations, our bees are hard at work! 🐝

You'll notice I'm safely behind the camera while my husband is right in the middle of the action. After years of beekeeping, he's developed nerves of steel. Me? I prefer a safe viewing distance. 😄

Right now, the bees are busy gathering nectar and we're hoping they'll bring in a good Sourwood honey crop over the next few weeks. Sourwood is a highly sought after varietal and every season depends on the weather and what the bees can find.

For now, we'll let the girls do what they do best and keep our fingers crossed for a sweet harvest!
