Centered in Putnam County, Georgia, Briarpatch Farm has provided a living for its owners from the land for over 120 years. Pasture Raised. Grained Finished. No Added Hormones. Our steers are responsibly raised on grass and supplemented with a small amount of grain until they are put in the finishing lot on full feed. We offer wholes, halves, and beef boxes. A Special Day at Briarpatch Farm!

What a wonderful day celebrating our roots, our growth, and the community that continues to support us!

We were honored to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Briarpatch Farm alongside three local Chambers of Commerce and so many incredible businesses from our surrounding communities.

As a fifth-generation family farm with roots dating back to 1903, moments like these mean so much to us. While our history runs deep, we're always looking toward the future, and we're grateful to have such a supportive community growing alongside us.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all three Chambers of Commerce and the local business owners and representatives who took the time to celebrate this special milestone with us. Proverbs 27:23 reminds us of the importance of tending faithfully to what God has placed before us. On the farm, that means knowing our herd, caring for the land, and putting in the work each day—even when no one is watching.

It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly and a way of life that has been passed down through generations at Briarpatch Farm. 🤎

Some things on the farm have a way of coming full circle. 🤎

Years ago, Christian would come out to Briarpatch Farm with his dad, our Herd Manager, Gerardo, simply to play and spend time on the farm. Today, he’s back in those same fields—but this time, he’s working alongside his dad through Putnam County High School’s Work-Based Learning program.

From watching Dad work to learning the ropes right beside him, Christian is gaining hands-on experience in agriculture while carrying forward the values of hard work, responsibility, and caring for the land and livestock.

For us, this is what being a family farm is all about. It’s not just the generations of our own family—it’s the families who have grown alongside Briarpatch Farm and continue to be part of our story. 🐂🌾

From those first wobbly steps to watching calves grow stronger alongside their mamas, every new arrival represents the future of our herd and the continuation of generations of careful cattle raising.

It takes early mornings, late evenings, plenty of pasture checks, and a dedicated farm team to care for the herd through calving season. It’s hard work—but seeing healthy calves out in the pasture makes every bit of it worthwhile.
