Few weeks ago we took the time to prep the girls for kidding. Of course Ember chose the most Ember time to have her babies. The babies have gotten their colostrum and are tucked into their heat barrel for the night. Now we wait for the other girls to catch up!

CIDR are in the girls will be in with the buck soon! The calves were weaned this past weekend and we have already put halters on.

Jude ended up winning Reserve Champion Total Performance! Blue for his carcass and red for rate of gain. Huge thank you to Chippewa Valley Energy for buy my steer this year and every other year! We will be weaning calves soon and I can’t wait to start working with next years animals!

I took my first bred and owned steer to the fair this year. Even though I didn’t take home any banners I couldn’t be more proud of how Jude did. He not only went to county and he went to many other shows. Every time making me more and more proud of what I had raised. He placed fifth in live placing.
