We don’t have farmers market this week but our cooler is full. We harvested over 200lbs of oyster mushrooms this week along with almost 50lbs of lions mane. If you’re interested we’ll be offering the buy two get one free deal on those varieties at our store through Wednesday April 22nd.
We are located at 2324. Western Ave in Eau Claire for those of you who haven’t been here before.

I would like to thank Menomonie Market Food Co-op for their generosity in granting us the Fund Our Foodshed Grant. This award was made possible by all of their customers who chose the round up option at checkout. The funds will be used to not only expand our operation but make our year round production more energy efficient to ensure the community has access to fresh locally grown healthy mushrooms.
Stay tuned for progress updates as the project the grant is funding comes together.

I’m back in the great white north and am happy to report that I didn’t even get bit by an alligator although I did have a run in with a manatee in a kayak.
Even better news is our crew did an excellent job keeping the farm operational while I was gone. The store is back open resuming normal operating hours and I will be at the down to earth garden center farmers market tomorrow with a good variety of mushrooms and mushroom . Hope to see you there!!

As I’m finishing up picking mushrooms for today, I wanted to let everyone know that there are no markets for us this weekend and I’m gonna be heading to someplace hopefully warmer next week so the store will not be open Mon-Thurs Feb 1-5.
I do have a cooler full of fresh mushrooms and will be inclined to give incredible deals of buy one get one or more on fresh mushrooms through Saturday.
For those who haven’t been to our store at 2324 Western Ave in E.C, we are set back from the road a bit. Just look for the building pictured. Don’t let the looks of the building discourage you because I put all of my attention in to growing the best mushrooms not having the prettiest facility

Recently I have taken a couple of calls from repeat customers inquiring about sediments in the reishi and lions mane tinctures. The lions mane is due to a change in the production procedure using more lions mane mushroom per batch and a reduction in filtering before bottling to allow a higher concentration of the medicinal compounds.
The reishi is also from a process change allowing the reishi mushroom to develop spores and including them in the tincture. The spores provide a boost in the effectiveness of the tincture when combined with the reishi mushroom.

Reishi spore benefits center on boosting immunity, liver health, and combating fatigue, with compounds like polysaccharides and triterpenoids supporting antioxidant activity, reducing inflammation, improving sleep, potentially managing blood sugar/pressure, and offering neuroprotective effects.

We will not be at any farmers markets until February 7th, but we do have plenty of mushrooms at our farm store. We located at 2324 Western Avenue in Eau Claire and are open from 10ish am to 5ish Monday through Saturday. If you are willing to brave the cold I will reward you with a buy one get one free on fresh mushrooms through next Saturday January 31st.

We have enokis at the store and will also have them at the Down to Earth farmers market on Saturday. They make a great ramen or will take any soup to the next level. Hope to see you there!!

I want to apologize to anyone who stopped by to find the store closed last week. I was out of town enjoying some time in the mountains with good friends and no cellular service or WiFi. While I left my son in charge of the operation he was busy with his own business and was working double time just to keep the mushrooms growing and was not able to be at the farm during normal hours.
I will be back in normal operating mode starting Monday 11/3 with a fully stocked cooler of oyster, black pearl, shiitake, lions mane, and king trumpet mushrooms as well as coffee, tea, and tinctures.
