TAPS & APPS TAP's mission: find the Coldest Beer in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area. In Nov 2014 the group expanded to also search for the best appetizers. to Taps & Apps.

Started Nov 2009, the mission was to find the coldest tap beer in the Eau Claire, WI area. Having searched every bar in the area, the group decided to expand. In Nov 2014 the group also started rating pub appetizers and food. This changed the name from Temperature Assessment Panel (T.A.P.) We hope you like our research.

On 3-25-26 we hit the Westside going to VFW on Folsom, Wildridge Golf Course & Bowl Winkles. The beer at all 3 was very very cold in chilled glasses. Service at all 3 was excellent. The apps at Wildridge were good but not great. (click on ratings image for better viewing)

On 2-25-26 we went to Texas Roadhouse & Grizzlies The beer at TR was ice cold at 34 degrees and Grizzlies at 37 degrees in chilled glasses. Tap selection at both places was very good. The apps at Grizzlies were good overall but the wings were exceptional.

On 1-14-26 we went to the Dirty Bird (by Wagner's Bowling) and WISCO. The beer at both places was max cold at 5.0 in frozen mugs. Tap selection at Dirty Bird was average while a very good selection at WISCO. The apps at WISCO were excellent - Cuban Eggrolls & Wings.

Well another season golf has ended so now we're back for the remaining winter months until April. We hope you enjoy our research. We've gone twice now on November 12th & 19th. We started on the 12th at one of our favorites Fly'n Ryan's in Eleva. It was a clean sweep on highest scores for Apps, Coldest Beer and Service. On the 19th we started at the Wander Inn and again they had the coldest beer at 5.0 with ice floating in the mugs. Then we hit the River Inn for their monster wings and finished at the Alibi.

Well another Taps & Apps season has come to an end as golf has again started. Check us out again next November as we start our 17th year of Taps & Apps. Thanks for following us and have a great summer everyone!
