Lambs and ewes tested out some fresh pasture today for a couple hours. With a little rain and a little sun the grass is going to be growing like crazy soon! Naturally the other group was jealous, despite having plenty of their own green grass 😆

These guys are really finding their legs now! Ten minutes of zooms followed by lunch and a nap in the sunshine. I think that should be my new schedule too! 😂

Lambs and Larry. I'm guessing they haven't formally met yet based on the "shock and awe" reaction from the lambs 😂. Hopefully they aren't getting any new acrobatic ideas!

Our snow piles are almost completely gone!! You can still find snow in the woods if you're looking for it, but for the most part it's all gone. It's been 7 weeks since the big St. Patty's day blizzard, that's pretty crazy how much of a difference less than two months makes. As if in celebration, the sunset was absolutely beautiful!

The lambs have joined forces and are partying hard tonight! Hopefully you don't get too dizzy watching their back and forth shenanigans! I feel for the moms, it's a madhouse in there!! We are nearing the point where they go from concerned helicopter moms to "Can you and your friends just go somewhere else for a while?!?" 🤣

Yesterday was one of those days that felt like three days in one. No major issues, everything was attended to and resolved, but stressful nonetheless. Puddingstone didn't feel like eating breakfast, I think she was still depressed at having Ruby's lambs taken away (Pudding definitely thought they were hers) but came through and was eating before chores were done. Meanwhile Ruby's little girl was clearly chilled and needed warming in my coat. Her brother seemed ok but it didn't take long to realize Ruby had "run out" of milk, despite having some the day before. So we supplemented colostrum to her little girl (little boy refused but was in better shape) and got Ruby some medications to help her come back into milk. Little girl gave us some stressful hours but now has Mom's milk again and is doing better today. In the middle of the afternoon, Copper went into labor and seemed to need help. I made some adjustments of legs and helped her get them out. They are both spunky and doing well. So far we have three sets of twins, a ram and ewe lamb from each. Four or five more pregnant ewes hanging in there, stay tuned!

Let the zoomies begin! 6 days old and really moving along. Today has been a busy one in the barn, it is nice to watch Garnet's twins having fun!
