This school year, Sankey Angus had an exceptional experience through Hagerstown Junior-Senior High School’s work-based learning program. Brady played a vital role by helping on the farm in a variety of ways including mowing pastures, treating calves, feeding hay in sub zero temps and assisting chute side, putting up with Cyrus’s 194874 questions - and so much more! Thanks to Brady, I could confidently leave the farm knowing everything is in good hands. We truly couldn't have done it without him. Congratulations, Brady!!

Hello - Lindsay here, having a mom moment on the farm —

This message is for the parents of young kids.
This evening I took this photo of Caroline opening my gate while I fed steers. I want to remember this moment as she continues to change so quickly.
— Later, my Snapchat pushed this memory of 5 seriously short years earlier.

Same girl.
Same gate.
Better conditions.
Improved breeding of our beef.
She finally got that long ponytail she always wanted as a tiny girl.

Parents: Take your kids everywhere.
Include them in everything.
Don’t let them sit in the car, house, or play pen - if possible.
Soon, you’ll see that they emulate your example of hard work and finding a passion.
Include them early and often.
Accept the mud, late bedtimes and questions you don’t know the answers to.
Teach them what your parents taught you: NEVER DRAG A GATE!!

Our love for Angus cattle took the four of us to opposite ends of the state today.

Lindsay & Caroline attended the Indiana Angus Auxiliary spring luncheon - an annual girls’ day tradition for these two. Caroline fulfilled and enjoyed her queenly duties as Indiana Angus Junior Princess. Lindsay was appointed Vice President of the group and looks forward to serving the breed in a new capacity- fully aware she has a LOT to learn!

Cody & Cyrus headed north to the Collective Cut Elite Consignment Sale outside Francesville. The sale went wonderfully and somehow Cyrus got a bear to wear his Sankey Angus hat.

🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ “I thought they were going to a cow sale, Mom?”

The girls have learned to not ask questions when those two leave on a guys trip.
