A nice swarm nice gentle bees, 4 feet off the ground. Catching swarms is one of the most fun beekeeping activities. Was up at 5 to catch another small swarm. What a crazy swarm season, one for the books. I am reminded of my first swarm ever. It was on Allen Street, downtown Buffalo. A nice couple who owned a jazz club had called. They had an outdoor sitting area, and the swarm was right there. Those bees produce 190 lbs of honey. They were darker and smaller than normal. Share any good swarm stories
