Hillside Creek Stables We are a small family ran equine farm located in the beautiful countryside of Eden, VT. At the most reasonable rates in the area.

Our mission is to provide horse related activities to as many children as we can. We provide a life time of experience, knowledge, and a fun family like atmosphere. Where children can safely learn the ins and outs to horses. If that means they want to attend a show one day or just learn to ride. We strive to build confidence and self esteem through the amazing relationships and bonds horses have t

o offer. We have an amazing group of families some of which have been with us sense the beginning, which is going on 10yrs now. We are also the home of Hearts 4 Horses 4h Club and have 7 horses/ponies and 2 mini mules (our barn mascots). We offer lessons, camps, training, 4H & showing opportunities.

Our Story

Hillside Creek Stables is owned by mother and daughter team Jeannie and Jamie Ketcham. We are a equine facility offering lessons, camps, 4H club, training, and showing opportunities. Jeannie and Jamie have a life time of equine experience seeing they are 2nd and 3rd generation Ketcham's to be in the VT horse industry. We pride ourselves in offering high end instruction and opportunities to our equine passionate youth at the most affordable rates in the county. We strongly believe no child's passion should be dampened by a families inability to afford this traditionally very expensive sport. HCS is what we like to call a Community Farm. We are a nonrecognized nonprofit. Meaning all lessons and camp fees you pay go directly back into the barn to cover the animals feed and overall care. Jeannie and Jamie specialize in hunt seat riding with an emphasis on hunter jumpers. We welcome all disciplines and ages to Hillside Creek. However we do strongly focus on local youth and are one of the only farms in Northern VT that offers lessons to under 5yr olds.
