Somerset Farm is a diversified family farm owned and operated by Frederick and Jeannie Inglis. We raise USDA certified organic produce as well as sheep, hogs and laying hens on pasture. We are a mixed-power farm, using our team of Percheron draft horses as often as possible in combination with two tractors. We aim to be conscious stewards of the land we manage, employing practices that minimize ou

r impact and yield high quality vegetables and meats. Some of our methods include high crop diversity and long rotations, extensive cover cropping, on-farm composting, balancing our soils mineral content and providing our animals with fresh pasture and vegetable scraps.
