Hanson Family Farm LLC has an announcement!
To our wonderful supporters, we will be doing sales on all of our products this Saturday August 16th, as this will be our last market at JC Penny. As most of you know we have 4 children. Two of which have alpha-gal, with their numbers sky rocketing this summer on top of not having any time as a family we have decided that what is best for our family is to close down for the health and safety of our family. Also with our growing farm we have had very little family time. Our children have come to us with their concerns and feelings. Although they are proud of what we do, the growth we have made, and the families we have helped provide a healthier alternative to store bought meat, they feel as though it is harming our family. In their words “family is more than living in the same house or sharing a name.” “It is spending time together and making memories together.” “It’s laughing together, watching movies together, and playing outside together.” With working daylight to dark most days for the past five years I have done very little of these things, as I am absolutely exhausted by the end of the day and I hadn’t realized how much it was bothering them. So I have come to the decision that it is time to finally be a “Family” again. I have absolutely loved getting to know all of my wonderful supportive customers and all of the other venders at market, and helping to provide happy, healthy meat for many families, but we have decided that this is not what is best for our children, or for our family.
