The FARM Institute

The FARM Institute Martha’s Vineyard educational farm where farming, food, and community are celebrated.

The FARM Institute (TFI) is a non-profit organization that is made up of farmers, teachers, and community activists who are dedicated to educating and engaging children and adults in sustainable agriculture on a diverse working farm. TFI is located at Katama Farm which consists of 162 acres of beautiful farmland in close proximity to South Beach in Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard.

Calling all flower fairies and garden gnomies! Join us to create a nature-based fairy house or gnome home to be displayed along our secret trail in the sunflower field.

🔨🚜 The MVRHS Carpentry & Building Trades students recently partnered with the The Trustees of Reservations FARM Institute to design and build a custom wooden play tractor for young visitors to enjoy on the farm.

This hands-on project gave students the opportunity to apply their carpentry skills to a real-world community project while creating something that will bring joy to children for years to come. Thank you to the FARM Institute for providing our students with another meaningful learning experience and the chance to make a lasting impact on the Island community.
