Really good video and reminder.

Livestock guardians dogs, LGD's take their job very seriously even with another dog they know. This video is wonderful showing how they work together to protect their charges. It is amazing to watch the dynamics of these smart animals.

So grateful for our three Great Pyrenees and the job they do for us here.

Seven more pints of home canned tomato sauce 🍅 to store away for chili, spaghetti, stuffed shells, pizza and more.

We have 16 more sauce tomato plants in the garden so I hope to have many more jars to line the shelves before the first frost.

It's been a long and productive day. ❤️

Time to hit the hay.

Praying for everyone's safety...man and animal...that will be affected by Hurricane Isaias

We are expecting 3 to 4 inches of rain, high winds and possible power outages here at the farm.

All the animals are tucked in. Food and water containers are filled and we'll check on them first thing in the morning.

Another good work day on the farm!

The greenhouse was in need of a good clean out in preparation for moving tender plants and trees in before our first frost

Not expecting that frost anytime soon, but wanted to be prepared so I have room to move everything in without the last minute rush...which is usually what happens. 🤷‍♀️

I am so very grateful for our greenhouse where we can winter over the tender citrus trees and tender plants and herbs as well as a place to start seeds for the Spring garden well before our final frost date.

We have a Linden tree, a slippery elm tree and a chaste tree still in the greenhouse that will soon be planted.

Looking forward to the forecasted rain over the next two days! We sure need it and it will be the perfect time to transplant those trees after the much needed rain.

Some much needed time in the garden today. Both for the garden and for myself. ❤️

I am so amazed how the peppers and eggplant are still going!

I am going to try an experiment this Winter.

I have seen many people pot their pepper plants up, trim them back and then store them through the Winter in a garage. They then replant them the next Spring and have a head start for the next season.

It will be awhile before I do that as they are still really producing!

Just love all these beautiful colors.

A day in the garden is always a good day. 🥰
