Hello!
Groundspeak Farm, in northwestern Miami County, KS, a 45 minute drive south of Kansas City, MO, would like to share the summer growing season cultivating 2 acres of various vegetables with an intern.
I am looking for someone who is:

- able to commit 20 weekday hours to farming outdoors from April-September
- able to work hard and consistently on repetitive tasks
- able to work independently as well as in a team
- eager to learn about sustainable agriculture, or perhaps eager to start their own farming enterprise
The intern will be compensated with a percentage of sales from vegetable production, to be discussed with interested parties.

Plant for the bees! Thank you Land Institute.

These bee specimens were collected from our silphium and alfalfa plots during the summer of 2018. Crop Protection Ecology technician Edy Chérémond and research intern Megan Gladbach professionally pinned, labeled, and identified each bee to genus. The specimens will be preserved to aid us in future projects, as we continue to document which native bee species pollinate our perennial crops.
