Looking for some extra spice in your life? Meet Pepper, he's a sweet cat that would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention but also have his own time. He is a very loving boy that is happiest when he is around others. He would do great in a home with or without cats, but currently we do have him with 3 other cats within a cat town. A bonus is that he does love to play too, if he sounds like he would make a great addition to your household come right into the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin to meet with him!

Sport is the sweetest little nugget that will snuggle next to you while you work, follow you around like a puppy, and give you kisses. All in all, he can be sometimes lazy with moments of zoomie energy. Sport has a few tricks under his belt, but he's always ready to learn something new! Sport has a very puppyish exuberance in a big, handsome adult body. He's a lover of fetch, having his ears rubbed, and taste-testing all the treats! Make Janesville's historic downtown a day trip destination this weekend for the Shop the Rock Holiday Edition. The event now in its' third year began as collective response from small businesses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Working from home, quarantining, events cancelled, the expansion of online shopping all took their toll on downtown Janesville's restaurants and boutiques. Not deterred, a group of downtown business owners got together to create Shop The Rock.

Did you know that Lake Kegonsa is known as the "First Lake?" Settlers to the region followed the Yahara River northward and stumbled upon the lake before the other chain of lakes around Madison. The word Kegonsa is Ho-Chunk for "Lake of Many Fishes."
