Hey everyone. I'm late on my post this morning. Its been busy this morning. I'm down at the Master Gardeners Farmer's Market unit noon today. Lots of microgreens and freeze-dried fruits. The mushrooms sold out in the first hour today. I'll have more mushrooms next week.

I see mushrooms! Finally after a few weeks of battling high temperatures in the fruiting tents with little to no mushroom growth. I may have come up with a quick solution. Time to cool my humidity foggers. How do I do that? Make it ice water to cool the fog.
Adding ice to the humidity foggers has lowered the temperature in the tents from 69° to 64° in just a few hours. The mushrooms are liking the cooler temperature. Mushrooms are growing and the bright colors are coming back.
Sometimes you just need to think outside the box. A small commercial ice machine is all it took to fix this fruiting tent temperature issue. I know this is a temporary fix, but as the business grows there will be more permanent cooling equipment and a better design to the fruiting rooms.

I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Last week was a great week for the seller's markets, and I had a great farmer's market. I thought all the growing pain issues were behind me after ladt month. I guess I was wrong. Somebody forgot to turn the sun down. These high temperatures are not good for mushroom growing. I'm having a hard time maintaining the temperature low enough for the mushrooms to grow.
I have equipment on way to help lower the temperature of the fruiting tents. The equipment will be here this week. I don't know how many mushrooms I'll be harvesting this week. Hang in there everyone. I'll get this heat issue figured out and I'll be back on track. I've only been growing mushrooms a year. I'm still learning all the stuff that can good wrong.

First Farmer's Market of the season was a good day! Mushrooms sold out in an hour and a half. Only a few microgreens left and the freeze-dried sold well.

Good morning everyone. It's the first Master Gardeners Farmer's Market of the season in Casper. It opened at 7:30 and it has been a crazy busy morning. If you're in Casper I'm down by the fairgrounds. Great looking microgreens. Some beautiful mushrooms that are going fast. Don't forget the freeze-dried fruits and pickles.

Good morning everyone. 307 Prairie Pantry in Douglas and Baker's Market are restocked with gourmet mushrooms and microgreens. Douglas Farmers Market is restocked with microgreens.
Its been a busy week. Tomorrow will be the third harvest of week for the Saturday farmer's market. Today I'm prepping all my booth setup for the Master Gardeners Farmer's Market on Saturday.

Another great delivery day. Branch & Vine Herbs in Buffalo, The Urban Basket in Gillette, and Cross E Dairy and Freedom Foods in Sheridan are restocked with some wonderful gourmet mushrooms. This week Cross E Dairy and Freedom Foods also started carrying my microgreens. I got them started with 12 different varieties of microgreens. If you're in Sheridan, stop in and try something new.
Tomorrow is the second harvest of the week. Followed by the Casper and Douglas deliveries.
Remember Saturday starts the Master Gardeners farmer's market in Casper.

Lots of beautiful mushrooms today. The microgreens are looking healthy today too. Today is the first of 3 harvests this week. Mostly mushrooms today, but I did receive a few unexpected orders for microgreens up north too. Time to start planting more trays.

It was a microgreens kinda Monday. Finally the Wasabi Mustard seeds made it here. My main supplier stopped carrying them, and they have been on backorder from the new supplier.
The microgreens have moved! It wasn't far, just to the other side of the building. I first started growing them in this area of the building and grew well.
I know its only July, but I'm getting everything ready for fall and winter construction work. Lots of projects are planned after the farmer's market which starts Saturday August 1st in Casper by the fairgrounds and runs until the end of September.
