Well we have officially sold the last of the Nubians we had available. We are down to only a few we are keeping for personal reasons. Two doelings and three bucks.
I’d like to get back into raising them In the future but for now they’re just pets. Though I’d consider studding out two of my bucks if anyone would be interested. I may see if I can show the two girls and if they’re the right age etc. because i think they’d do good!
So with that being said, there won’t be much activity on here aside from just updates of pictures of the few we have and small things.
We shall see what the future holds.

I have decided to get out of breeding and raising Nubians for the time being to reduce the numbers and give time to re-evaluate my herds genetics and the direction I want to go. By next year I will likely be reduced to these two beautiful does and three bucks and I will not have any breeding plans for the foreseeable future for now. I have had a change of pace and direction in my life so I’ll have less focus on the goats, so needing to reduce is the best option. In that case, I’ve decided to focus more on my other heritage breed for now.

I most definitely plan to get back into breeding Nubians in the future when I’m in the better position I’m wanting for all this.

Saigon gave us two absolutely STUNNING girls!!!

Our first and only kidding for this season of our Nubians. This was actually a surprise even though it was a planned breeding.

She had been declining health wise unfortunately and showing no signs of actually being bred, so I had assumed she didn’t take.

Luckily she’s doing alright for now and the babies are feisty but I believe they are premature by a bit. Had to pull them both out since she wasn’t putting in much effort, plus the second born was backwards. Both were also trying to breathe while still inside. Stressful kidding for sure, not the greatest year by far.

Gonna be a busy few months with meds/vaccines/whatever-else-it’s-called haha 😂 but in the meantime I can be excited for breeding season!!! 💞 I’ve been writing down all the pairings and I’m pretty excited to see what we get out of them. One in particular I’m really excited for as I’ve been wanting this pairing for a few years now, just never did it. I may post a few of the parings I’ll be doing.

**💕HE HAS FOUND A NEW HERD💕**

Here’s a more “official” s a l e s post for Russo. I’ve included pedigree info, more pics of him at different ages, and of course his dam and her udder picture.

Russo is looking for a new herd to sire. I’d prefer a breeding home but I can wether him. He is unregistered.
He’s a sweet boy, not in your pocket but he’s calm once he warms up to you. He’s got BEAUTIFUL markings/coloring. He does have horns due to incorrect disbudding. His dam is a very good milk producer. She is a very good mother. She is not registered (partly why he will not be) but she has nice lines on her sires side.

My handsome Pecos is getting so big! He broke off a scur the other day and it was attached by a small bit so I went ahead and pulled it off. Of course he didn’t care. He’s my big tough boy! 💕
It’s going to be time again soon for hoof trims and anything else (Including annual CD&T) before the winter comes and I’ll definitely be getting some pictures of everyone that needs updated ones. If I don’t forget 😂
Also breeding season coming up! And boy are we excited for this! Stay tuned for all that info.

Took a quick set of pictures of Russo. Sorry for the bad quality but wow I love his loud color and those spots! 😍 He’s definitely growing into himself nicely. He is available but if he doesn’t find a home I may pair him with a doe. But for now I’m just looking to cut back where it’s necessary so we can re-evaluate our herd.
He gets along well with the others in the herd. He’s not terrible with being walked by collar but could use more practice to improve. He’s got a pretty good pedigree behind him and looks a lot like his sire. He is not registered unfortunately due to trouble with ADGA on his dams side. His dam a nice milk producer with quite a large amount and a pretty nice udder too.

Got an unplanned new addition to the herd on Thursday. A sweet little bottle baby buckling. He came from the same people I got one of my very good milker adult does from. He is also her half brother, same sire. He is not registered but, like the doe, his sire has registered parents.
Can’t wait to see him mature and how he turns out as well as if he looks like his older half sister.
