🐄🎉 Edina Livestock Gives Reason to Celebrate! 📈
Edina Livestock Sales (Edina, MO) had arguably the best sale in their history on Friday, setting all-time highs for the barn in the 5-, 6-, 7-, 8-, and 9-weight classes and breaking 14 barn records in the process.
For 9-weights, 63 head at 927 lbs brought $342.75/cwt, a new barn record and the highest price ever recorded in Missouri. This surpassed their own previous state record of $336.50/cwt for 63 head at 911 lbs set on July 25, 2025, which now ranks second in Missouri history. Edina now holds three state records for 9-weights.
In the 8-weight division, 59 head at 834 lbs sold for $352.25/cwt, the top price in barn history and the fourth-highest in Missouri history. For 7-weights, 13 head at 710 lbs brought $386.00/cwt, a new barn record and the second-highest in state history.
The 6-weight mark was reset with 35 head at 600 lbs selling for $429.50/cwt, the highest in barn history and the second-highest in Missouri history. Edina also dominated its own record book for this class, now holding six of the top ten 6-weight sales in barn history after Friday’s run.
Rounding out the day, 5-weights hit a new barn high with 10 head at 534 lbs selling for $461.00/cwt, which ranks as the eighth-highest in Missouri history. This sale solidified Edina’s place among Missouri’s elite feeder cattle markets.
