I wasn’t gonna post anything about it but we normally share all the good with everyone i thought i would share the unfortunate side of being a farmer.

A couple of calves came down with an upper respiratory infection (pneumonia). We have been treating the yearling for 2 nights with antibiotics. Last night we went to dose her again and minutes later she was on the ground taking her last breathes. Carletta, Kenny and Dennis and Devan tried everything possible to save her with no luck.

This afternoon we were blessed with a healthy bull calf Kinslee named Beefy.

Unfortunately farming isn’t fair and sometimes it’s absolutely disheartening but finding a new calf just makes the loss a touch bit better.

It’s hard loosing a heifer we planned on breeding but life came full circle in less than 24 hours.

Just because it’s raining dousnt mean the work stops. Wrapper issue last night with the lights on said weak power shut lights off and the wrapper worked. Well low and be hold our alternator decided it had enough if some don’t know what that means. The alternator is what charges the battery which starts the tractor and in this case the wrapper uses some Juice to operate as well. But no biggie get it sent out and back together for the next dry day.
