A Message from Lost Bottoms

We want to thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and support for all those involved in this matter. The information that was shared with us has been passed along to the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, and we are deeply grateful to all the Deputies working diligently on this incident.

If you have any information that could help, we encourage you to contact the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office directly.

We are also humbled by the generosity and kindness shown to us during this time. Your giving and encouragement have reminded us once again how truly appreciative our community is, and how blessed we are to be a part of it.

At this time, for the current operation of our farm, we will remain closed as we look to the Lord for direction.

A Message to Our Community

Yesterday, we unfortunately had another attempt to steal our donation box. These donations help cover about 25% of the overall costs needed to provide a free place for people to come, relax, and not have to worry about how much it will cost.

With prices rising everywhere, our goal has always been to create a space where families can enjoy the beauty of the farm and not feel like they’ve broken the bank. We love opening our home to the community, but we hope everyone understands—this is not a business. This is our home, and our gift to you.

One of the guiding purposes of the farm comes from Scripture:

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
— Matthew 22:37–39 (KJV)

With our background in law enforcement, we know there is brokenness and wrongdoing in the world. We truly feel sorry for those who choose to steal or attempt to take from something that brings so many people joy. For anyone in need, there are many resources available—we encourage you to reach out for help instead of turning to harmful choices.

Please also know that our property is well protected with multiple security measures. If theft is attempted, we will not hesitate to share evidence and seek justice to protect the space we’ve built for the community.

Sunflower season has come to an end. While only a few late blooms remain scattered throughout the field, the beauty doesn’t stop here.

Come explore the next phase of our maze experience-now featuring bird feeders that attract a variety of feathered friends. It’s peaceful, nature-filled adventure you won’t want to miss.

🌻 Lost Bottoms – Dust to Dark Sunflower Maze 🌻
📍 1120 Edinburg Gap Road, Edinburg, Virginia

⏰ From Sunrise until 9:00 PM

This weekend is the last full bloom of the season! While our maze will remain open daily through the end of September (sunrise to sunset), this Saturday we’re hosting our first-ever nighttime maze event.

✨ What to Expect
• Bring a flashlight and your family, friends, or youth group for a one-of-a-kind evening in the sunflower maze.
• Try out putt-putt in the dark, giant Connect Four, or challenge yourself to escape the maze after sundown.
• Plenty of photo opportunities—and we’d love if you share them with us!

⚠️ Please Note: The sunflower field does come alive at night with many different animals. Be mindful, stay aware of your surroundings, and bring a good flashlight for safety.

🍴 Food & Seating
• Pack a picnic, snacks, or supper.
• Enjoy one of our two tables, spread out a blanket in the yard, or bring your own folding chairs.
• Sit back, relax, and watch the sunset over Edinburg Gap with sunflowers in the background.
(Please note: no restrooms are on-site—come prepared.)

🌻 Sunflowers Are Starting to Bloom! 🌻
Now is a perfect time to visit and watch them open up—it’s truly a beautiful sight!

We’re excited to share that a six-hole putt-putt course is coming soon, along with other fun games for all ages.

✨ Feel free to pick a lovely bouquet of sunflowers—don’t be shy! ✨
We’ve provided scissors and fun photo props for you to use. Just kindly return them when you’re done.

📍 Parking is available in the yard next to the stand.
🕰️ We’re open 7 days a week, from sun up to sun down, now through the end of September.
