After a lot of difficult conversations and some hard realities, we've made the decision to close Nate and Jake's Meadery.
When we started this journey, it wasn't because we thought we'd get rich. It was because two disabled veterans had a dream of building a place where people could come together, share a meal, enjoy a drink, laugh with friends, and feel at home.
While the dream didn't work out the way we hoped, we'll never consider it a failure. We met incredible people, made lifelong friends, and were blessed by a community that supported us every step of the way.
We also want to thank our amazing employees. They showed up on the busy days and the slow days, worked hard, cared about our customers, and helped make this place what it was. They became part of our family, and we are incredibly grateful for every one of them. They deserve nothing but success, happiness, and the absolute best wherever life takes them next.
To every customer who bought a burger, drank a glass of mead, came to a comedy show, brought their family in, or simply stopped by to say hello—thank you. Your support meant more than you'll ever know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving two old veterans a chance to chase a dream.
We'll carry those memories with us for the rest of our lives.
