The chicken who thinks she’s a cow (yes, I realize I called her a rooster. She’s definitely a hen… I know, I know) she flew the coop a few weeks ago and has been a free bird in the pasture. Since the cows came out of the woods, she’s joined them all day everyday, and refuses to leave.

Cecropia moth caterpillar AKA: North America’s largest native caterpillar. This is the second time we’ve found one on the farm. Last time the boys successfully overwintered it and we got to witness just how beautiful these creatures are. They were tickled to find another hanging around our old apple trees. ❤️
