Here’s an update on our homestead for those of you who like to keep up with what’s going on. 😁

While we love our goats, we have decided that we are going to slow back a bit on the goat portion of the homestead, that way we can focus on other things. Don’t worry, we will still have papered goats (and pets) available for those interested, but we are going to stay small. 🤏🏻

In other news, we will be expanding our Rabbitry in the near future. Our girls are enjoying the show life with bunnies and in order to “step up” we must expand for more bunny room. 🐰 Don’t tell the hubby! 🤫🤣

We love all of our critters and are planning to keep everything else the same as of this update. As the kids grow older their interests change. We are excited to see what the future holds for us at Busy Beavers Homestead and Rabbitry. Be sure to follow us to keep up to date! 👀👆🏻🔘

Here’s a good video on what happens up at the judge’s table during a rabbit show. Featuring the Rex breed which is the bigger version of what we breed, Mini Rex. 😍

I love photography and taking pictures of the farm in general. Here’s a neat photo I took yesterday of “Chocolate”, one of Morgan’s Polish rabbits. 🐰

🐛🍂 Old Weather Folklore: The wider the black bands on a woolly bear caterpillar, the harder the winter is said to be.

For generations, people have looked to nature for clues about the season ahead—and the woolly bear is one of fall’s most famous “weather predictors.”

Of course, it’s folklore rather than a scientific forecast, but it’s still a fun autumn tradition.

Have you spotted a woolly bear yet this fall? How wide were its black bands? Tell us where you live! 👇
