Yall, we had the MOST fun at Lynd Fruit Farm today, grabbing TONS of Ohio produce to cook for you this weekend! It never ceases to amaze me how well-run and friendly this place is, even in the middle of their busiest season. We can't wait to share pics and videos of the cooking process this weekend, so check back to see our Cider-Boutbon-maple pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes, Apples, Cabbage, and Onions, and our Pumpkin Gnocchi with Sage Parmesan Cream, Cauliflower, Zucchini, and Peas!

From Tree to Table!!!! We picked em, we washed em, we simmered em with local maple syrup, organic cane sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Heading from the orchard to your fridge with only our chefs as the middle-people. We really enjoy showing you where your food comes from and how it gets to you!

We're serious about making you delicious food with local ingredients. That's why Grant and I headed to Lynd fruit farm in Pataskala today, to hand-pick 120lbs of the freshest, juiciest, crispiest Honeycrip apples that you'll ever find. We're going to use them for our new seasonal flavor of overnight oats and yogurt parfait, as well as for an upcoming entree with cider-bourbon glazed pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes, and roasted local apples onions and cabbage. If we get crazy, we might make some hand pies with them too.

Please swipe to see a collection of photos and videos from our adventure. This hat did not arrive until this afternoon, which is why you'll see us wearing pumpkin hats at the orchard. The goofy picture was supposed to be a video, but I am a chef, not a certified marketing professional. It doesn't make much sense, but with produce this fresh and food this tasty, it doesn't need to.

Meet Seth! 👋

Seth is our COO - and the guy who keeps the day-to-day at Fit Fresh running!

Before joining the team, he spent 20+ years running Katzinger's in German Village. He was also Jon's favorite boss and a big reason Jon stuck with the food industry in the first place. So naturally, we hired him as soon as we could afford him. 😂

These days, Seth keeps operations moving, fixes just about anything and deals with Jon's overly enthusiastic menu ideas and process updates.

Outside of Fit Fresh, he's husband to Whitney and dad to Lochlan, Creighton and Emery. And his favorite Columbus eats? The kati roll from , chicken cutlet from and the Mazatlan sandwich from .

We're pretty lucky to have him on the team. 💚

Farm To Your Table, A series of photos.

Three Creeks Produce grows it, picks it, cleans it. This requires months and months of hard labor, extensive knowledge, and a whole lotta luck.

We drive to the farm to pick it up, clean it again, roast it, peel it, chop it, mix and season it, put it in a tray with freshly cooked, vocally raised and butchered ground beef and high quality aged basmati rice, vacuum seal it, and deliver it right to you.

Expect more from your meal prep! If you haven't been to Bluescreek Farm Meats in Plain city, you gotta check them out. Locally raised beef lamb and pork, awesome local products, great customer service, and they even have a butcher named Pork Chop who might just give you an awesome restaurant recommendation.

We're really pumped that their beef is part of a meal where alllll the veggies and even the sauce is made completely with local ingredients (besides the canned chipotles and rice).

Hope you're all having a blast and crushing it this week!
