Over 25 years ago, I learned to can salsa, relishes, and pickles in my kitchen from the bounty of our garden. After creating different pepper and spice combinations, my family and friends fell in love with my recipe of taco flavored salsa! After selling my homemade salsa at open markets and craft fairs, the demand grew, and I realized that it was time to pursue my dream of having it available in s
tores! At 50 years old, I set out for a new venture! By carefully choosing a small-batch coprocessor, I made sure my recipe stayed the same and that it tasted just like I made it myself! The bold blend of spices along with the unique taste of tacos is what I believe sets my salsa apart from the rest! By mid 2019, local grocery stores and small businesses gave us a chance and put Christine's Salsa on their shelves! Today my salsa is available in 115 locations including 83 Schnucks across IL and MO! In 2021 it was time to build a spice line with my own taco seasoning and chili powder to have my salsa made with gluten-free ingredients! I am proud to say that I now have Award-Winning salsas that have won National and International competitions in Texas, New Mexico, and Wisconsin! As of 2023, Christine's Salsa offers 5 salsas, 1 hot sauce, 5 spice blends, taco seasoning and chili powder!
