This week we spent our days deep cleaning, decorating, buying supplies and organizing.

The next 2 weeks our team will come together to begin training on both our front of the house and back of the house duties.
Our goal is to complete 2 full rounds of bulk baking to ensure we are ready.

So what does that mean for opening day?!?!?!

We are looking to open our doors on Halloween day: Saturday, 10/31 from 6am-2pm 👻🎃

With most grand openings we know there is a good chance that a few hiccups may occur. To ensure that we immediately address those items, for future success, we will be closed that Sunday to regroup as a team to discuss and address those items.

That following week we will open our doors with normal business hours.
Thursday thru Sunday: 6am-2pm (or sell out).

Things are really starting to move quickly 🙌🙏

We did it! We passed our township inspection ✅

We could not be more excited 🎉

What’s next???

1. Deep clean and get everything set up
2. Staff Training
3. Department of health inspections
4. Open our doors

At this time I am pretty confident to say we will be open by November 1st.

After so much delay already, the last thing I want to do is rush these final milestones. I want to make sure we are ready to give you what you deserve.

Happy fall ya’ll 🍁 🫶🏻 Mama’s Update….

A few weeks ago we were happy to announce another milestone was conquered and we were ready for inspections. Unfortunately, a few days prior we were told more information was required and had to cancel 😞 Just when you think ‘YES, It’s finally happening’ another roadblock pops up and your back to the drawing board.

But that’s ok…. we are 💪 and kept our spirits up and continued pushing forward.

Since then we have provided the needed documentation and am happy to announce, that as of this morning, we got a call and have received our final approval 🙌
We can now move forward and reschedule our inspections.

Employee update:
At this time we are still looking to hire 1 baker (all other positions have been filled) So if you or someone you know loves baking bread and sweet treats be sure to reach out. This may be your perfect opportunity to do something you love 💗

I will be sure to keep everyone updated on all of our progress. At this time I am feeling very hopeful that we are headed in the right direction and our dreams will soon become a reality.

Primary Responsibility: We are looking for an experienced bread-maker producing fresh bread products from scratch. Someone who can take ownership and who understands the entire process from mixing and fermentation to shaping and baking. Someone who simply has a passion for bread making!
Secondary Responsibility: Making/decorating pastries, cupcakes, cookies, donuts, etc…

🕘 Shift: TBD
Anyone who knows bread (especially sourdough) knows that timing can be critical. Discussions will take place with applicants to determine a shift that not only fits the need of the business but also works for the individual hired.

Good morning ☀️ 🍩 We are happy to announce that we are checking off another milestone ✅
Our hood unit and electrical work is complete!!


Township inspection is scheduled for this Thursday🤞

Some not so good news….. during the time of trying to get our doors open we did end up losing 2 of our amazing employee’s. We wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors

In saying that, we will be looking to hire a baker and bakery associate position.

Hiiiiiiii my donut friends….Guess what ?!?!?!?!?!

We have just received approval 🎉🙌👏👊😃

So whats next?

Milestone 1 - Permits ✅
Milestone 2 - Hood Unit/Electrical work
Milestone 3 - Township inspections
Milestone 4 - Staff Training
Milestone 5 - Department Of Agricultural inspection
Milestone 6 - Open our doors!!

As you can see there is still quite a few milestones that need to be completed but as long as things go smoothly from here on out it shouldn’t be too long now.

Once we complete ✅ milestone 3 I will feel more comfortable at that time to determine and share our opening date.

I will be sure to keep everyone updated as we ✅ off all of our milestones and get closer to our big opening day 💖

Good morning…. I wanted to pop on bc it’s been a couple of weeks since my last update and I know everyone is anxiously waiting. I am sad to say but we are still waiting for approvals. Another round of paperwork is being submitted today in hopes that we hear some positive news by the end of this week. We never imagined that after 4 months we would still be sharing this same message with you. As soon as we hear we will be sure to share🤞At this point we are just looking forward to celebrating small victories!!

Good morning my donut friends 🍩 was hoping from my last post that I’d have better news to share, but unfortunately, I don’t 😔 We are still anxiously waiting to hear when we can push forward. It’s very disheartening, but we know that focusing on the positive is the best way to flip the script when things are out of our hands.

So with that said….. have you ever wondered how a business chooses their name? Or have you ever wondered how they came up with their logo?

Here is my story….
THE NAME:
Most of you probably know by now that Mama’s is in honor of my mother who passed away over 5 years ago. She was know as ‘Mama’ by all of her loving grandchildren 🥰❣️

OUR LOGO:
The book: Our song is Bob Seger’s ‘Turn the page’ 📕 🎵
The butterflies: She always said she would come visit as a butterfly 🦋 💕
The donut: She had a huge sweet tooth 🍩
The hand: Her hand reaching from above sprinkling the final touches 🖐️ ☁️
