So the other night this guy tried to make a run for my chickens and made a mess of the fence instead! By the next morning nothing left but a small puff of feathers. Looked like a cotton ball stuck on the fence. Not sure what up and took him but thanks to the laws of nature my baby girls are safe!

Today at Valkyries Landing the big chicks were moved to a new area for some fresh bugs and their coop was refreshed. They are some happy girls. The lil girls are finding their wings and fluttering up on top of the heater in their brooder while they listen to classical music. Chuck is making progress with moving the wood pile structure back by the barn and clearing out around some beautiful holly trees in an area that will be perfect for Last Salute events. Pathways through the woods are getting maintained so our veterans and their families will have peaceful moments through nature in an otherwise crazy world whenever they need a moment to step away. The dream is becoming a reality one step at a time. Big thanks goes out to all those who have helped thus far. It's hard to believe we'll only been here a year come October 18th.

piggies feeding time. Huge thanks to for the food scraps to help feed them to reduce costs. Donations welcome from tractor supply DuMOR Hog Grower Pelleted Hog Feed, 50 lb. Bags. The piggies will be needing hay bales come winter as well. Message us for drop off. If you have non moldy cooked scraps we accept that as well. We are a non profit all veterans farm run facility. Look for dates and times for veterans days to start coming out to learn skills. Learning to farm, build, and more will build purpose in your life again. Stay tuned......
