About last night 💭
Sometimes plans change, and sometimes those changes lead to something pretty special!
This weekend, we switched gears and pointed the trailer north to Seguin, TX, for the Ty Machado Memorial Cookoff!
On the line were BIG checks, championship buckles, a mountain of prizes, and the coveted GOLDEN TICKET to the BBQ World Cup at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where teams will battle for a shot at a $1 MILLION PRIZE!
With 50 teams and a WHO’S WHO of Texas BBQ in attendance, we knew we had to bring our A-game!
We felt good about our cook, stayed confident in what we put out (besides chicken 😂) and when the dust settled, here’s how the proteins stacked up:
CHICKEN — 1ST PLACE
RIBS — 23RD PLACE
PORK — 1ST PLACE 🥇
BRISKET — 9TH PLACE
STEAK — 4TH PLACE (Auxiliary)
GRAND CHAMPIONS!
Two first-place calls against some of the best cooks in Texas! It’s weekends like this that remind us why we put in the work, chase the miles, and keep firing up those drums!
And now we’re talking VEGAS, BABY!
The BBQ World Cup might be taking place at the legendary Caesars Palace, but since my name is Cesar, I’m looking forward to hosting everyone at MY PALACE! 😂
