Found some fresh side aka pork belly in the back of the freezer and decided to try curing bacon. This will be my 1st time doing this, and I usually change up recipes as I grow in experience, but we'll see.

We said goodbye to an old friend today. We adopted her at 8 months old from the shelter and she turned 15 years this year.
Tinker, aka "boss dog" was a shining example of the perfect love you can get from a shelter pet. I know she ran over that 🌈 🌉 to see her old pal, Ziggy. We'll definitely miss ya, sweet girl and we still miss Ziggy. Love ya both

When harvest season is done, the fields are all planted again, and you think you're going to get a break, but momma has other plans. We sure enjoy our busy life on the farm.

Our oldest son came out and sprayed our fields today. He always does such a great job.

1st day of wheat and fescue harvest for us. Grandson came in about 9pm and we decided to get started on meals for tomorrow since most will be to go. He had a blast learning how to make homemade biscuits, but I think tasting his work was his favorite part. He did a great job.

So excited to be grinding wheat into flour for my bread. More pics and videos in the comments. We haven't bought bread at the store for quite some time and I love the fact that I can now say that I know every ingredient in my bread.
