It’s not often birds allow humans to capture enough wild black cherries to make a batch of jelly, but my good friend Chris Porter collected several pounds from his backyard tree and said, “see what you can do with ‘em!”

I did!

When I tell you the aroma hits your palette and nose with a punch you’ll immediately know this flavor is not your run-of-the-mill grocery store jelly. It’s wildly divine!

Grab a jar at Davis Market or Union Co. Conservation District (El Dorado, AR) before they disappear. This is an extremely limited batch.

Our South Arkansas Arts Center painters just left the farm. What a great Saturday morning browsing among the cut flowers and receiving instruction from Maria Marta Villegas. I can’t wait to see their finished artwork!

Our next workshop is September 19. Sign up at SAAC for the early fall collaboration between Richland Creek and SAAC. Pumpkins and gourds will be the focal point!
