Meet the Faces Behind Your Beef

Welcome to our ranch family!
Hi there! I’m Allison Dark, and alongside my husband, Isaiah, we are the faces behind the local, high-quality beef on your dinner table. Next month marks a massive milestone for us: 8 years of living, working, and raising our family right here at Sewell Cattle. Isaiah manages the ranch's commercial and registered Brangus operation, and together we’ve built a life deeply rooted in the land, the livestock, and this community.
We are proud parents to two incredible boys, and we are counting down the days until this December, when our third baby boy will make his big appearance!
Because we handle the beef business and Isaiah manages the ranch, a question we get asked almost daily is: "Are you related to the Sewell family?"
The short answer is no, there is no blood relation. However, over the last eight years, the ranch has become so much more than just a workplace. From the years we’ve spent here, Mr. Gary and Mrs. Kristi have truly become like family to us. We care for this land and these cattle with the same pride and dedication as if it were our own.
Why We Started the "Beef Box"
About a year ago, we took a leap of faith and started selling our beef directly to families by offering whole and half cows. We loved connecting with customers, but we quickly ran into a common hurdle: so many people wanted to support us and buy our fresh, local beef, but they just couldn't commit to the upfront cost or the freezer space required for a half or whole cow.
We wanted our beef to be accessible to everyone. That’s how the Beef Box was born!
Our cattle are raised with the highest standards, resulting in 100% grass-fed and grain-finished beef that delivers incredible flavor, tenderness, and marbling. When you buy from us, you know exactly where your food comes from and the family who raised it.
To our returning customers: If you have supported us, shared our posts, or purchased beef from us in the past, thank you. We couldn't be more grateful for your trust in us to feed your family.
