I haven’t been very active on this page as this is not my primary source of income and I gave my girls the winter off so eggs were scarce.

However, they are now in full egg production!!

I have several dozen eggs available, both for eating and hatching. I’ve also pickled several pints…. Hope you like Spicy Asian flavored. 😋

Behold the bounty! 🤣

The ladies are back at it. I let them take the winter off to just enjoy a few months of pampering and self reflection. 😉

But now it’s time to earn their keep. Should have some eggs, eating and pickled, available soon. 🤗

I’ve tried to contact many businesses lately. Via messenger,their website or even leaving a voice mail. Sometimes even following up a week later. Only to never get a response.

You will NEVER be ignored when contacting me.

Small businesses need to be supported but if they don’t care for or focus on their customers then we have no choice but to move on to those who will.

I have a few jars of Spicy Asian Pickled Quail eggs available. $8/ pint.

When building our coop my husband thought I was being a bit to “fancy” by wanting to put linoleum flooring down.

We installed it anyway (ha) running it several inches up the walls as well.

This was my best idea EVER!

This week my quail water system malfunctioned (quail stood on watering cup and plugger got stuck) dumping 2 gallons of water into the p**p tray…. Overflowing wet p**p ALL over the coop floor. It was horrific!! But, because of the flooring I was able to scoop up the mess and hose the whole thing out. Easy peasy! Can’t imagine how bad it would have been if that had been just a plywood floor. 🤢

Deciding to give our place a purpose has been hard and dirty. I feel lost most days. I have no idea how to do most things. Like raise anything other than humans or grow anything other than older.

But I’m learning and I’m trying. Taking things one adventure at a time and just hoping that somewhere along the way my children gain a greater appreciation for hard work and self sufficiency.
