LEGENDARY LOCATION: La Bang Bang Bar & Grill, 414 E. San Antonio Ave, Downtown El Paso Texas 🍕
HEY Are you ready for some local paranormal tea? We are excited to spill some details & images about one of our most recent investigations, which took place at this incredible location!
La Bang Bang, situated in the heart of historic Downtown El Paso, sits nestled into a beautiful old brick building.
It is known for delicious drinks, mouth-watering Detroit-style deep dish pizza, and a fun & welcoming atmosphere...
But another thing that it may be getting known for? Its GHOSTS.
You see, there have been some unnatural things happening after the lights go down.
But first, a little history of this location:
'East San Antonio Avenue was a major thoroughfare during El Paso's "Boomtown" era in the early 20th century (circa 1910). The area is characterized by a mix of Late Victorian, Art Deco, and 20th-century revival architectural styles...
'414 E. San Antonio Ave in downtown El Paso sits in a historically significant area, once the site of early adobe homes, a Masonic cemetery, and key commercial growth, later becoming home to the iconic Popular Dry Goods Building, a landmark tied to El Paso's frontier-to-thriving-city transformation, evolving from dusty plots to major retail under figures like Adolph Schwartz, showcasing the city's cross-border heritage and architectural ambition.' So clearly, this spot sits atop historic ground. Could there be spirits from this history, tied here as well?
This is what we are aiming to find out.
Some years ago, along with our mentor, Mr. Henry Flores, we extensively examined the basement labyrinths that run beneath this specific building- and block.
Back then we spent countless nights exploring every dark corner of these underground spaces.
The whole basement area was a hotbed of paranormal activity at this time, some of which would bleed up into the businesses above.
So we have had some previous experience with the ghostly claims of the businesses along this particular block of E. San Antonio Ave.
Which brings us to this most recent investigation.
We had been told by our friends at La Bang Bang, that there were a few strange occurrences happening on site...
Things such as flickering lights, falling pots & pans, shadow figures in the hall... In one startling instance, area, while sleeping overnight in the space, during renovations... Someone was even physically touched by something unseen, in the bar area.
This led to our crew at Lost El Paso Paranormal getting involved, and going in after-hours to do an investigation.
We arrived just as the bar was shutting down for the night and went lights-out after setting up our equipment.
And it didn't take long for things to start happening...
For example, the crew had set up toy balls that light up when touched, in various locations around the site.
And we had one particular spot at the bar where one of these balls kept being repeatedly triggered and lighting up.
Was this someone's favorite spot at the bar? Maybe one of the spirits was thirsty for one of the establishment's tasty drinks... 🍹👻
Or, could it be attached to the numerous vintage items that are embedded right into the unique bartop itself- including pieces of a broken mirror (see photo), that came directly from this aged building itself?
Do these antique pieces hold some kind of residual energy?
It is something that we will be further looking into.
One of our more sensitive crew members got an impression of 7 spirits being present on the grounds- 2 female, and 5 male...
These may have been connected to the previously mentioned energies in the basement area?
We hope to investigate the origins of these entities more thoroughly.
In addition, we had many hits on our K2s, a few on the REM-POD, and have lots of other bits & pieces of video, equipment info, and personal experiences to filter through.
We are currently reviewing everything, to see what else we may be able to discover. Will we unlock any of this building's secrets?
It remains to be seen...
Our investigations of this site are only beginning.
So stay tuned! As we plan to join our friends at La Bang Bang on this fascinating journey into the hidden stories of the past, and possibly, the other side...
And the search is just beginning." By: Author Heather Shade
