Well, let’s do a quick update. I’m sorry I have been severely MIA recently!! 😑 I have become the mother to a newborn bouncing baby boy!! I don’t know if y’all seen my last happy birthday video for the black-and-white twins that were born two and a half weeks ago, but it just so happens that the first born little boy, has a cleft palate!! This is new for me. I have not had one of these situations before so upon research I found that cleft palate baby goats are generally euthanized, which I could not even fathom doing!! I understand that many people do not have the time or the means let alone the energy, to raise a special needs baby goat. It’s also a lifetime commitment!! I literally feel like I just had a newborn baby human all over again lol but I’m here to report, little Abel is thriving at this time!!  And boy has it been a journey of ups and downs, tears, sleepless nights, worry beyond all brain capacity, and days filled with unknowns, but every single second has been so worth it!! ❤️ Especially when I see this little guy bouncing around and just being happy to live life and trying new things!! I love him so so so much!!! Days are also filled with love beyond words, lots and lots of cuddles, laughter and special milestones!! I am going to be adding my best friend on this page to help me manage things. I feel really bad that I have not been posting or tending my page. I literally have been running on less than fumes and no extra time at all!!  I hope this message finds everyone doing well!! 🙏 🤗
Also during my research I found a nonprofit organization in California who helps with cleft palate kids and lambs specifically, nothing else. They are wonderful, caring people, and they have been at this for 6+ years now and they have dealt with thousands of cleft palate babies!! This organization also has a program where they take over care for candidates chosen through, I believe, applications. You will have to contact them for more information on that part. But if you find yourself in a situation like this and are looking for guidance, please reach out to them (or even myself)!! I will put their contact information below. ⬇️ They will help you with any questions that you have, if you’re willing to take on this monumental task of hard work and a lot of love for a cleft palate . I will tell you there is not much information out there because like I said earlier, they’re generally euthanized and it can be difficult to find a vet that is willing to take on such a task also because it is very difficult and often does not turn out well. I have yet to find a vet myself that will take on my little guy. Anyways blabbing over lol here’s the info!! The founder’s name is, Maya. She’s a wonderful person to talk to!!
