Today I brought all 3 puppies into the poultry pen. I always sprinkle black fly larvae out as it is the birds favorite treat and it keeps them calm when the pups come in. It doesn't hurt that the pups like them too. If the pups pay more than a quick look to the birds I redirect them with a verbal command and if that doesn't work I body block them. They did super today. I keep the sessions short at this point so they can end on a successful note.

I took the puppies on their longest car ride yet. Fury and Thistle are old hat in the car but Cody is just starting to rack up some miles. We visited some friends in Loveland and got the pups some good kid exposure. I think their early exposure to visitors to their home farm served them well in meeting new people.

Cody is looking for a place to call home.

KBR Thistle of T23. One of two Epic offspring I am currently evaluating. At home she seems quite brave, joining in with the adults, but at puppy class she starts out a bit insecure, tho she quickly warms to her surroundings and the other dogs. The insecurity decreases with each class. At home I am enjoying watching her guardian traits develop under the mentorship of my pack.

If there is anyone that can't wait for a Legacy x Epic pup, I have a solution for you! We have been hosting KBR Cody, Fury and Thistle's brother. Somehow he might still be available!?! I am so pleased with Epic's first litter. I am excited to see if he stamps any traits in his next few litters. He seems to make a more compact frame, and many of his first litter were quite leggy.
