Lady was first of our bred mares to reach 7 months. She got her Rhino booster today. Starting to identify as a hippo.
She is actually a sharp little mare that has a nice using type frame. She isn't homozygous grey and is also a blue roan underneath the grey. She has a really nice pedigree with some good old time horses close up like Major L and Old Paint and Missouri Bo. Excited to see her foal.

Going to highlight a 2 year old filly/mare that is a treasure to me genetically. She is filling out and really starting to shine. Very hard to get a good picture of her as she rarely seems to look as good as she is. Bad combination of her not being photogenic and me not being a good photographer.
Her sire is Beth Pearson Crash E. stud. He is a great producer and I believe Beth has some young horses and foals available out of him. Her bottom side has some of my favorite old blood. Rambling Shooting Star S. is Luke Sturdevant stud that passed away earlier this year way to young. The mare side is great Lee and Marshall Yates blood. Her momma is owned by Jeni W. Cotton and the reason I was able to purchase her. Thanks Jeni as it might be impossible to pry a Crash filly from Beth!
Josie has good bone, gait, muscle and is an old soul with a beautiful mind.

Doing chores, figured I'd hay bag test Poncho. He didn't even care so I guess I have to move on to a different stimulus.

Changing weather! I was hurrying to get a picture of the rainbow. Roxie said not without her!

We have 3 mares Vet ultrasound confirmed in foal. Next spring will hopefully be exciting. It will also be more revealing as none of the little fetuses would give up being a c**t or filly today. All covered by our blue roan stud.

First up will be Lady, grey mare that is blue roan hiding under the grey. Due last week of April. Then Callie, red roan, due second week of May. Finally Sugar, palomino mare, due the end of May.

I will post pictures and pedigrees of all.

We are located in Eleva Wisconsin.

New pasture turnout. Youngsters pretty excited! Sugar wasn't that impressed.
Poncho is 3 months old today. The black & white is a yearling and so is the lighter bay. The chestnut is 2 and the dark bay is a 3 year old. Sugar says she doesn't talk about her age.

Poncho got his first big boy trim tonight. He's had 2 others but i laid him down for those. He's getting so big so fast it is easier to do him standing now. Will be 3 months next week.
Sugar needs one too but didn't have time tonight. She has really big tough feet. Love them unless it's time to trim her.
