After a very long hiatus Blue Paw is back! The last year+ has been very tumultuous and I have been struggling to find any motivation to resume this hobby. Baby steps, I’m getting there.

Black currant is STILL in the carboy (left) and is doing much better than a year+ ago. The flavor is finally coming though and it’s very clear.

Defrosted and crushed Dad’s 2021 Concord grapes (right). I don’t have high hopes for this one as the grapes sat in the deep freezer much longer than expected. But hey I had the grapes and I didn’t want them to go to waste so we’ll see how it goes!

Chardonnay done and bottled! Should be able to enjoy by early Fall. I have only one more wine going at the moment (black currant) which I may or may not bottle before we move as it’s been a pain since day 1 😵‍💫

I’m not overly thrilled with the taste on this one yet but I’m hoping it’ll settle down and smooth out in the next 2-3 m...

I’m not overly thrilled with the taste on this one yet but I’m hoping it’ll settle down and smooth out in the next 2-3 months for a nice summer time easy drinker with lower ABV.

Next up will be checking in on the black currant that’s been a challenge since the start with a crazy slow fermentation. More to come!
