Anyone else getting ready for Easter today? I’ve been holding onto these eggs for weeks to boil for deviled eggs…older eggs peel easier once boiled 😌 happy Good Friday to all of our followers! Thank you for your support recently, we hope you’re enjoying your eggs!

We’re up early this morning…The cowboys are at it as we begin separating and weaning our calves we raised this year from their mommas before it gets hot today! 🤠
Our littlest chick woke me up at 5 am, so I figured I’d go ahead and get an egg order ready for a pick up today. The girls sure are laying some amazing colors, I don’t know if they’re finally getting settled into their egg design or if it’s all the free range time they’ve been getting, but their eggs are beautiful! It reminds me of how God makes each of us unique in our own way, yet we are all the same inside. Be kind to one another and let’s find the beauty in ALL of His creatures 🤍🐓🥚

Most of our chickens are super friendly, but this gal pretends she likes you then changes her mind fast…this is Miss Spots, she’s a speckled Sussex and lays large light brown colored eggs 🥚

We’ve been using eggs this week practicing our math in the kitchen! Today we’re making a Gooey Butter Cake. We’ve never had it before, but it sounds really good! 🍰

Lots of rainy days make for some dirty eggs… but this girl is up for the job of scrubbing! 💪🏼 we don’t usually wash our eggs so that the natural coating stays intact for longer freshness, but we sometimes have to refrigerate some so that we don’t give y’all dirty eggs! 😜

Nothing gets wasted when you have chickens! Started harvesting our sweet potatoes today and gave all the girls the vines from them…the head hens got first dibs! 🐓
Thank you so much to those of you who have bought eggs from us this week! Whaley was so excited to see some people other than her family 😜
