Luis is our Operations Manager at Restore Plumbing & Drain, which means he plays a BIG role in supporting our technicians, keeping our team moving in the right direction, and making sure we continue delivering the quality of work our clients expect. 🔧💙💚

Before the temperatures start dropping, take a quick trip around the outside of your home and disconnect those garden hoses! 👀

Leaving a hose attached can trap water inside the faucet and piping. When freezing temperatures arrive, that water can freeze, expand, and potentially cause damage—including a burst pipe inside your home. 😬❄️

🔧 Restore’s Fall Checklist:
✔️ Disconnect garden hoses
✔️ Drain and store hoses for winter
✔️ Shut off & drain outdoor faucets when applicable
✔️ Check hose faucets for leaks or damage
✔️ Make sure frost-free faucets can properly drain

Just because it fits down the drain doesn’t mean it belongs down the drain. 👀

Garbage disposals are helpful kitchen tools, but despite the name, they’re definitely not designed to dispose of garbage! Certain foods can jam the disposal, while others get ground up only to create buildup and clogs farther down the drain. 😬

🥔 Starches can turn sticky.
🥜 Nuts & seeds can become paste.
🛢️ Fats, oils & grease can coat your pipes.
🍖 And some food scraps simply don’t break down the way you might think.
