Yesterday I did a video on the udder update of our 7 milking does, that have been in milk for 1 month! Here are some pictures of everyone's udder!

It's been a long time since I post last but I have some exciting news!

Yesterday and today I did at home pregnancy tests on 6 out of 7 dairy does that are due in March and 1 in May. 4 out of those 7 I did confirm that they were pregnant via ultrasound but I wanted to double check on 3 of them to make sure! I also ultrasounded our last boer doe to kid in April and i can confirm she is pregnant! Here are our confirmed 7 does that are pregnant!....

This was a big day for me, as some of you might know I was having so much trouble with Minnie staying bred. In 2024 she had an abscess right before her udder while she was pregnant, we got it lanced by our amazing vet and Minnie had a beautiful doeling The Campbell's Dairy Winnie and she has had babies of her own this year! 2025 we tried lap AI on her which she didn't take so I bred her to our bucks here on the farm and crossed my fingers she took which she did but unfortunately she aborted in April of 2025 about a month early from her due date. She came into milk but unfortunately had gotten dry mastitis on one side, the same side that had the abscess in 2024 that wasn't connected to the udder itself. So breeding season came around and we decided to breed her to Elvis and she was negative on the pregnancy test when we sent blood in. So on December 17th she came into heat and got bred! Well she short cycled 5 days later so bred her again and again 10 days later. At that point I had no idea what was going on and decided if she wasn't pregnant that we would give her the year off, flush her with antibiotics and try again next breeding season. I tried ultrasounding her but she had too much scar tissue to see anything so I ordered the pregnostx pregnancy test and they came in and we went and tested her and 3 other does, and when I seen that those 2 pink lines showed up I was so ecstatic! Crossing my fingers for doelings coming May 2026!

We have had a busy week with 3 does kidding! To start us off Atlas had twins! 1 boy and 1 girl, they both went to their new home already.

Willow had twins as well, 1 boy and 1 girl, this was a tough labor. Everything was going good until she stopped pushing after the bubble popped, went to check and had 4 front feet! Was able to get the girl out and the boy was not far behide! The boy went to a new home and the girl is retained!

Finally our last boer Dutchess Finally kidded but sadly we had to put 2 of her babies down, its never fun to make that difficult decision but when they are suffering, the humane thing to do is to put them down. She does have 1 remaining doeling on her and both are doing fantastic!

Farm life is not all sunshine and rainbows, there is gonna be death on any farm. This morning was one of those mornings you wish didn't happen. As I went out to check our last 2 pregnant boer does that are due any day, Baracutie was in labor, one kid was already out but unfortunately was no longer with us, as I went in to check to see if there was a second kid, sure enough there was but was not positioned correctly i had to find the nose and pull it upwards and only had 1 foot, took awhile to get the shoulders out and knew this one was dead aswell. I was hoping there wasn't going to be a third but as I went in I found a third kid folded in half. Finally got it out and was dead. 2 girls and I huge boy, all together weighed 28lbs. The boy weighed between 11-12lbs. Was not a fun day but momma is doing good.

It's been a busy couple of days! Winnie kidded with twin bucklings sometime before 6:30 in the morning, I looked on the camera and seen 2 babies, one was standing up doing good and the other one was laying flat and couldn't tell if he was breathing. Went out there and seen the one was breathing so I gathered them up put one in a tote and took the other inside to get him warmed up. It took 2 hours to finally get him warmed enough to be fed.

Once I got them fed I went to go grab Winnie to get her milked and seen Arlas had a baby on the ground! So I grabbed it and seen it was a girl! Got her cleaned off, fed and went to get a tiktok video filmed of milking!

Both of Winnies boys went to their new home yesterday and Arlas's girl is available and ready to go to her new home!

Eggy started off our 2026 dairy kidding season with a big single buckling weighing 8.5 lbs sired by Whey-To-Go Casper! This gorgeous buckling is available as a bottle baby wether and can be disbudded! Nubian/Saanen would make a good pack goat prospect! This is our first Casper baby and are very pleased with him!
