Hiring Farm & Barn Help – Elgin Oregon
$80 per hour
I’m putting this out there because good help is
hard to find.
I’m looking for a few solid, dependable people to
help around the farm and barns here in Elgin Oregon

This is real outdoor work, feeding animals,
cleaning stalls, fixing fence, light repairs, general
property upkeep. Some days are calm, some days
are busy.
If you enjoy being outside and don’t mind getting
your hands dirty, you’ll probably like it here.
I pay $80 per hour because I value people who
show up and do the job right. If you’re reliable and
take pride in your work, you’ll be respected and
paid fairly. Simple as that.
You don’t need to be a professional farmer but you
do need:
• A strong work ethic
• A good attitude
• Physical ability to lift 40–50 lbs
• To show up when you say you will
Experience with farming, fencing, construction, or
mechanical work is a big plus

I’m straightforward, easy to work with, and I expect
the same in return. No drama. No games. Just
honest work.

What an awesome opening day for Pick-Your-Own Strawberries! 🍓☀️

Despite the heat, it was great to see so many of you out in the field enjoying the start of strawberry season. In just one day, more than 2,000 pounds of strawberries were picked!

A big thank you to everyone who came out, and a special shoutout to some of our happy customers: Barbara, Hannah, Francis, Bob, and adorable 4-legged friend. We love seeing your smiling faces and can’t wait to welcome more strawberry pickers.

We will be open daily 7-5pm, crop and weather permitting.

I’m on the lookout for someone (or a couple) who isn’t afraid of real work and enjoys being outdoors. This position involves farm and barn help, including feeding animals, cleaning stalls, fixing fences, and general upkeep. Some days will be easier than others—welcome to farm life!

What I’m looking for:

• Reliability is a must

• Must be physically able to lift 40–50 lbs

• Comfort around animals and a willingness to get dirty

• Punctuality—show up when you say you will

Pay: $80 per hour. This is paid work with no weird living arrangements or unclear expectations. You work hard, you get paid.

mind real work and being outdoors. This is farm
and barn help. Feeding animals, cleaning stalls,
fixing fence, general upkeep, helping wherever
needed. Some days are easy. Some days are not.
That’s farm life.
I’m not looking for someone who needs to be
micromanaged. I need someone who can see
what needs to be done and handle it.
You must:
● Be reliable
● Be physically able to lift 40–50 lbs
● Not be afraid of animals or getting dirty
● Show up when you say you will
I pay $50 per hour. This is paid work. No weird
living arrangements. No unclear expectations. You
work, you get paid.
If you have construction, mechanical, fencing, or
farm experience, that’s a plus. If not, attitude and
work ethic matter more.

Vern's Strawberry Update...
Vern says this is the best crop he has ever seen! After a shaky start with the frosts in early May, the strawberries really took off and produced incredible, large, beautiful berries. The picking this weekend, and probably next week, is going to be excellent.
Don't worry about the excessive rain, it has already dried off quite a bit.
We have all kinds of produce for sale in the market and strawberry donuts, strawberry slushies, outdoor vending with grilled burgers, dogs, brats and roasted sweetcorn. Lots to do here at the farm and the weather looks perfect! Hope to see you all out here this weekend. I'll be around all over the place, stop and say hello!
