If you know me you know I love earrings.
I got these earrings and Volo Illinois at the Volo automobile museum that we went to last week. They have an antique mall and it was pretty huge and I was pretty proud of myself because I only bought a couple of pairs of earrings and these are ones that I just fell in love with and only paid about $15 for them. Now we're going to clean them and restore them to their original beauty.

We decided to stop at Kleins today to pick up a few extra things for the garden. I wanted to get some herb plants and Edgar wanted to look at some additional hot peppers and get his potato seeds.
I don't have to start everything from seed and it's nice to have a little garden success insurance.
I ended up getting lavender, thyme, tarragon, basil, and other random plants.

I have been cooking on my casuela de barro that we brought back from Nicaragua. When we got it I prepped it and seasoned it and so far I've been able to fry eggs in it and now I'm cooking these refried beans. Maybe it's me but I think that everything tastes a little bit better and don't anybody tell me that that's because it has lead in it.

Cacao process continued...

I don't know exactly what I'm doing, but I think I'm going to end up with some type chocolate. I really done a slow and low roast in yhe oven,or hot pan toss before I shelled them. But the nibs smell amazing!

Making more is not really a thing because these cacao pods cost about $8 each. There is no way I'm buying a bushel of cacao pods!
