Those eggs were laid by my hens just yesterday and Sunday. They are as fresh as can be. Supermarket eggs can be anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks old when you buy them. Plus these chickens run around free from dawn to dusk, foraging, catching bugs and the occasional snake 😅

Got our first delivery of farm fresh eggs this morning thanks to Hailey's Happy Hens Homestead!!

Poor baby boy was orphaned and went to his new home. Dilys enjoyed helping with him while we established bottle feeding.

Blustery Texas Day!!! Also we have been trying to seed our property. Normally our grass is high and thick like our neighbors. But this year everything looks baran. We're going through lots more hay for the animals due to nothing growing. I don't know why?

Our new LGD pup Oso having his afternoon stroll. He's never left unsupervised with the chickens. Maisey is not impressed with her new friend. Hopefully he will grow on her.

We have had some barn swallows make a nest in our light. We love having them around for fly and mosquito control. But something has got this pair worked up. Not sure who went into their nest but hope their eggs survived.
