Good evening!
I hope you all have had a relaxing Sunday!
Things have been very busy for me. As some of you know my health kind of took a turn again in June/July. It is still unknown what is causing everything but I do believe we are getting closer to answers. I have some upcoming appointments with specialists and some more imaging that needs to be done but for now I am doing better than I was.
I have not moved yet but will be very soon! Likely within the 4-6 weeks. No one told me how hard it is to pack up a house after living in it for over 11 years. Before that we bounced around from duty station to duty station so we didn’t accumulate a lot of stuff. I am looking forward to my new adventure! Hoping I will have more time in the future to do more of what I enjoy. It’s been a tough few years with being a single mother, keeping the bills paid and taking care of my small farm. My herd size has decreased drastically over the last few months and I’m okay with it. When I got really sick last fall it became too much on me running a business, trying to keep up with household chores and showing up for my son. I will still have a few goats because I just don’t think I could ever get away from them completely! 🐐
I will be making some changes to my business in the near future and some I have begun already. I will not be doing dog nail trims anymore unless you have other animals on the property that I have to trim hooves on. I will also be increasing the price for goats / sheep hoof trims for clients with less than 5. This is solely because from a business that I depend on for income I can no longer make a profit if I am stopping for every place that only has 2-3 goats. All single services do require a $15.00 fee. This is to alleviate some of my time that is used up stopping for 1 animal. All of my other prices will remain the same. I will post an updated price sheet when I have it together. As always, if you need an estimate or curious about pricing please reach out!
My response times are still very delayed because I am in the midst of moving, multiple doctor appointments and still trying to keep everything in order at my house! There WILL be times where I will not be able to post if I am closed for business on a particular day. Things will ease up once I am fully moved and can more time back into my business. For now, I appreciate the business and all of the prayers / kind words! I’m moving forward and it feels good!
🩷Jennifer
I still have a few goats that need homes as well as several cats that need homes ASAP! As of right now, the following goats are still available:
Willie : 5 year old pure Lamancha buck, super friendly, proven, has given me lots of doelings over the years!
Ozzy: 3 year old pure Lamancha buck
Garth: 4 year old Nigerian Dwarf buck, blue eyed, proven
Dusty: ~4 year old Nigerian Dwarf, blue eyed, wether, takes a while to get used to people
Loretta: 4 year old pure Lamancha doe, just delivered twins in June, blue eyed, still in milk
Darla: 5 year old Alpine cross, my best milker, possibly bred, can be a hard keeper in winter months if not given a good quality hay. Ask for more details. Sadly, she can be for slaughter as I do know she is difficult.
Clem: ~2 year old Nubian / Nigerian Dwarf wether. One of my favorites and I was not going to sell him but unfortunately I won’t have the space.
Dixie: 2 year old Lamancha / Nigerian Dwarf doe. I believe she is pregnant. Was a bottle baby and is SUPER friendly. Has not kidded before. I was not going to sell her either but again I have to limit my herd.
