Quick update on Hickory! His castration went well and he's already back to being his normal goofy, loving self. He'll continue on antibiotics and pain meds and I'll be closely monitoring his wound until it heals, but all seems well at the moment. Thank you everyone for your well wishes yesterday!

Hickory was banded 2 weeks ago, and it has unfortunately become infected. He took a trip to the vet yesterday for antibiotics and pain meds, and it was decided that he needs to undergo surgical castration to ensure the infected tissue is removed and doesn't cause bigger issues. His surgery will be tomorrow so please send Hickory some good vibes!

Happy Saturday! We have a hot weekend ahead of us 😭 I'm continuing to shave some of our hairiest goats to help keep them cool. This morning was Ivy's turn! I love seeing how they look under all that hair; her spots are even prettier underneath!
