On July 27th, while driving through Dyer, Indiana, I noticed an advertisement on a truck for Phat Stax restaurant. I had driven past this restaurant several times, over the months, but ignored it because I did not know where the parking was. Phat Stax is located on the very busy street known as Lincoln Highway or Route 30. On this day I saw parking for the restaurant was across the street, so I decided to give it a try. When I first walked in I noticed the restaurant was clean. You can dine in or take out. I was greeted right away by the two people working. It turns out that one of those people was the owner. When I mentioned it was my first time visiting the restaurant I was given the run down about their menu. You can purchase items individually, but their boxed packages are truly the standouts for just $20 plus tax. Their boxed packages, of gourmet sandwiches, includes the sandwich, two sides and a beverage. These are premium items offered at a very reasonable price! I ordered the Oven Roasted Turkey Breast w/ Pesto Aioli, Roasted Red Peppers & Arugula on a Ciabatta Roll sandwich. It came with Fries, Beet & Arugula Salad and White Peach Lemonade. Everything was absolutely delicious! As a Foodie, I appreciated the wholesomeness of the premium food. I will definitely go back to Phat Stax to try their other sandwiches.

It was a Saturday evening. It was HOT outside. I craved an Italian Ice to cool me off from the Summer heat. Upon a Google search, Mario's Italian Lemonade was the closest from the location I was in at the time. As I drove up I knew their Italian Ice had to be really good, because the line was a half block long. I had to drive around a bit to find a parking space. By the time I found a parking spot, I was able to just walk up with no wait. However, a new long line quickly formed behind me. I ordered the large Cherry and Lemon Italian Ice. It was so worth it! It was totally delicious and refreshing!

Pita Pita Mediterranean Restaurant is located in a mini strip, with plenty of free parking. The restaurant was clean. We dined in. The service at the counter (to order) and tableside was very good. I really enjoyed my pick two meal of Chicken Tawook, Beef Shish Kebab, Rice, Grilled Onion, Grilled Tomato and Falafel. Everything was flavorful! Although I enjoyed my meal, my favorites were the Chicken Tawook and Falafel. The chicken was grilled, tender and bursting with flavor. The falafel had the right flavor and crunch. If I'm ever in this area again, I would dine here again.

The family ordered in from Hattie B's - Atlanta East location through DoorDash. I can't speak on the service or atmosphere, since I've never seen or stepped foot in the establishment. I had the Quarter Dark with Southern flavor, one Wing with Mild flavor and Pimento Mac & Cheese. The chicken was pretty good. It wasn't dry and the skin had a nice crisp. The Mac & Cheese was good, but I was expecting more umph to the cheese flavor (since I love pimento cheese). I also ordered the Peach Cobbler for dessert. I actually did not care for it. My serving lacked crust. The flavor of the peaches was a bit off putting. Being that I'm visiting the South, I desired the true southern taste of peach cobbler (minus the excessive use of sugar). I like peach cobbler that has a good balance of peaches and crust. I also like to have the savory flavor of nutmeg. Unfortunately, my serving did not have either.

I had a taste for a good real hamburger. Grindhouse Killer Burgers was highly recommended. Stepping inside the establishment I learned the menu items are made entirely from scratch using premium ingredients. I loved learning the meat is fresh ground from a proprietary blend of certified angus chuck and brisket cuts of beef. I ordered the Euro Style burger with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. The burger did not disappoint. My burger was cooked medium, and it was cooked perfectly. The burger was super juicy and tender. I also enjoyed the crinkle cut fries and one pimento stuffed fried green tomato.

Pho Dai Loi #2 has easy parking in a strip parking lot. The restaurant is large and can accommodate late groups. The service was good. The food was delicious. I enjoyed some Vietnamese Phơ Gà with added Meatballs and Steamed Spring Rolls.

Oh my GOODness ... oh my GOODness! Rreal Tacos in Decatur, GA is a very lively place! I was there late night after arriving in GA from a late flight. I'll start with the parking. It might be a challenge finding a spot to pay for, in this hot spot lot, but it can be achieved. The ambiance inside of the restaurant is dim lighting. However, the atmosphere is bubbly with music and people having a good time. The service was great! Being my first time there I wanted to try a few things. I enjoyed the Esquites, the Tempura Fish (Cod), the Tostada with Beef Brisket and the Picanha with Steak. Everything was sooo flavorful.

I visited Snail Thai on June 3, 2026 and again on June 21, 2026. I'll start with the parking. This restaurant is located in the Hyde Park area of Chicago. The location offers paid street parking only (no pay on Sunday's). Each time I visited I did not have a problem parking practically in front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is of humble decor. The service and food flavor is definitely where Snail Thai shines.

With regards to service, the restaurant is family owned and operated. From the moment we walked through the door the greeting and smiles were present. They are very gracious and attentive to the needs of the customers.

As for the food, it was obviously delicious since I patronized the restaurant twice in a month. Each visit I just had to have the Wonton Soup. The chicken dumplings in the soup are amazing and full of flavor! On the first visit I enjoyed the Noodles dish of Pad Woon Sen. I did not add a protein. On the second visit I enjoyed the Oyster Sauce Entrée with chicken. It was apparent to be authentic Thai cuisine of selections and flavors.
