Driftless Gobblers We strive to raise high quality and interesting varieties of heritage turkey in the driftless region.

We are raising heritage varieties of turkey in the beautiful driftless area of Northwestern Illinois. We use our biology education as well as our farming experience to breed and raise high quality turkeys. Our goal is to produce beautiful, strong and healthy birds that will be a positive addition to breeding flocks or serve as the guest of honor on the family table.

We are always looking for good turkey drumstick recipes, well on the 4th of July we made Turkey Drumstick Carnitas, and they were amazing!! Definitely going to be made again!!

Stripes is quickly becoming my favorite rooster at the farm, and as such has been put into a breeding pen with some of my favorite girls to hopefully pass on some of his good traits in our barnyard egg mixes, and to keep his from visiting the neighbors! Stripes has a nice crow (that he only over uses occasionally), he hasn't attacked kids or dogs (yet anyway), and when a fox came into the yard, he let his ladies know and readied to fight that animal with his life.
