We have cantaloupe, watermelon, purple broccoli, zucchini, strawberries, tomatoes… so much abundance ❤️

First cantaloupe!!!! 🍈 I went to check on it and it literally fell on my hand so I guess it was ready. It is sooooo sweet and yummy.

Aaaaaand… I finally got the time to start making sauerkraut at 3% of salt by weight of cabbage. I’m letting it sit for a bit then I’ll scoop it into glass jars. The jars will sit on the counter to ferment for 5-7 days.

UPDATE!!!!! He was reunited with his owner.

Is this your pup? He waltz on our property this morning and we’re trying to find his owner. He is super sweet. We know he has an owner somewhere for sure as he is well taken care of. He knows sit, stay and come. Is not aggressive towards other dogs or kids. And smells like cologne 🤣😅. We gave him food and water. Littlest dude and Chris are taking him for a walk. He’s safe and staying in the garage for now.

Hey y’all! As part of our ongoing flock care, we’re excited to be collaborating with GrubTerra to test their Peck Purity supplement and see how it supports our chickens’ gut health.

Meal Prep Sunday! With back-to-school season and sports keeping us busy, having ready-made meals on hand is such a huge game changer.

We got:
>Egg muffins (frozen- left overs from last week)
>Hard boiled eggs (chicken and quail)
>Chocolate Zucchini Bread
>Arroz con Gandules- a Puerto Rican style flavored rice and gosh it’s amazing- aromas and flavors from home (yes, I’m Puerto Rican)
>Delicious Poor Man’s Brisket
>Season baked potatoes
>Fruits- bananas, strawberries and watermelon

I’ll add some slow-cooked rabbit and other side dishes as the week goes by but having meals ready is a huge help throughout the week!

The kitchen is a mess though 😵‍💫😬😅
