For the longest time, we always went out and bought a bunch of white eggs from the grocery store to use to dye as Easter eggs. I was afraid that the colored eggs wouldn't take the color as well... and I had just always used white eggs, so why do anything different, right?
A few years ago, we started using our own farm fresh eggs and I was amazed at the beautiful color varieties that we got! If you have not used colored farm fresh eggs for your Easter eggs, I highly recommend it!

Order your eggs by this Sunday evening to pick up this week in time for Easter.

I needn't have bothered buying white eggs for dyeing. You can dye eggs with brown shells just as easily, and brown eggs produce prettier colors.
